SKI RESORTS |
| The
Snow Shuttle operates daily, departing at 8 am from your hotel.
Driving time, depending on distance to ski resort: 40 to 100
minutes. The bus departs from the Ski area every day at approx.
4 pm, i.e. you will be back at your hotel around 5 pm. Depending
on snow conditions, the following regions are serviced: Obertauern,
Zauchensee, Kitzbuehel, Gastein, Flachau, Schladming, Zell
am See / Kitzsteinhorn-Kaprun, Hinterglemm-Saalbach. Alternatives
to skiing and snowboarding: Tobogganging & sleigh rides,
swimming, skating, cross country skiing or simply a leisurely
walk through the picturesque landscape. |
| Monday: Zauchensee - Obertauern |
| Zauchensee, home of the World Ski Championships offers a wide range of
winter sports for everyone and every ability level. Nestled
at an elevation of 1,350 m in the heart of the "Salzburger
Sportwelt" with a total of 270 ski lifts and 860 km of
slopes. Enjoy skiing with virtually guaranteed snow from late
November through early May! Zauchensee itself has 135 km of
ski runs for recreational and elite athletes alike. 3 gondolas,
11 chair lifts and 7 T-bar lifts take skiers up the mountain
and 4 ski schools.Measure your speed on a race track. |

Obertauern offers 95 km of prepared and interconnected slopes, snow
making systems make the runs snow secure from November to
May. Experts will take the double chairlift "Gamsleiten
2" to the 1 km long mogul run.Carving, freestyle (half
pipe) and a new ski sport center will satisfy all desires.

| Tuesday: Gastein |
| Nestled
in the mountains of Hohe Tauern three resorts offer alpine
skiing with mountains up to 2,700 m and recreation and wellness
at Gastein´s world-famous thermal springs. In addition
to skiing and snowboarding, Gastein offers ice climbing, horse
drawn sleigh rides or snow shoe walking.Distance
betwen Salzburg and Gastein Valley is 90 km = 50 minute drive. |

| Wednesday: Kitzbuehel |
| Kitzbühel
is the most famous vacation resort in the Austrian Tyrol.
800 meters above sea-level, surrounded by breathtaking scenery,
the charming town itself is some 700 years old. The first
skiers discovered Kitzbuehel over a century ago, in the winter
of 1892. The most famous Austrian skier, Toni Sailer, is now
the director of the "Red Devils" ski school. Each
year the spectacular "Hahnenkamm Downhill" is staged
and thousands of excited spectators crowd the "Streif"
to cheer on the fearless downhill skiers. The new snow making
facilities on the Streif, guarantee excellent snow conditions.
56 lifts run in and around the town joining the various peaks.
For non-skiers Kitzbühel offers a skating rink, curling
alleys, the "Aquarena" which houses two excellent
swimming pools, a sauna, a solarium, as well as a massage
center, a casino and indoor tennis courts. Distance
between Salzburg and Kitzbuehel 80 km = 70 minute drive. |

| Thursday: Schladming |
| Many
major events such as the Alpine Ski World Championships, the
annual Men's Night Slalom World Cup, the Special Olympics
World Winter Games or the World Conference on Music have helped
make Schladming what it is - one of the best-known and loved
Austrian vacation resorts. Four Mountain Lifts have also made
Schladming one of the largest skiing centers in Austria. However,
Schladming remained a small town with great traditions, friendliness,
ambience and a wonderful atmosphere in the midst of the Alps. Distance
between Salzburg and Schladming 90 km = 50 minute drive. |

Friday: Flachau |
| Flachau
- set in the heart of the Salzburger Sportwelt and Amadé
Skiing Area boasting a total of 860km of ski runs and 267
lifts. Enjoy immaculate ski runs, top-of-the-line lifts, superb
après-skiing and many quaint huts and restaurants offering
good food and drinks. The forthcoming World Cup in Flauchau
will again feature exciting races (men´s giant slalom
and slalom) as well as great events. A winter holiday and
leisure resort in the Flachau valley - the hometown of the
"Herminator" Hermann Maier. Starting point for large
winter-tours in the Radstädter Tauern with more than
100km of slopes for all skill levels. Flachau is the winter
sport specialist at the heart of the Salzburg Amadé
in Salzburger Land: 120 of the most modern lifts, equipment
and facilities, 345km of skiing, 160km of cross-country skiing,
5 skiing schools, sledging, curling, ice-skating, indoor tennis
courts, horse and carriage rides, après-ski and night-life. |

Saturday: Leogang |
| Sharing
the Saalbach - Hinterglemm ski area, Leogang offers the best
of both worlds - for beginners and expert skiers alike. Located
in the Pizgauer area of Austria, Leogang's local skiing is
dominated by the Greater Astiz mountain. Once at the top of
the lift you have the choice of enjoying the huge sunny bowl
above the trees that lies between Leogang's skiing and the
start of the Saalbach Hinterglemm Circus, or taking one of
the wonderful long runs back down through the trees on north
facing slopes to Leogang itself. Leogang's local skiing is
seen as some of the best that there is from Saalbach Hinterglemm. |

| Sunday: Zell am See |
| "One
of Austria's favorite resots", Zell am See is a lovely
lakeside town with plenty to do and superb leisure facilities"Nestled between a lake and the Schmittenhohe Mountain, Zell
am See-Kaprun offers the best of two worlds: excellent skiing
during the winter season and superb glacier skiing combined
with water sports in the summer. A large selection of shops,
nightclubs and restaurants keep the aprés ski time
busy and exciting. Free ski buses bring you to the Kitzsteinhorn
Glacier and all base lifts of the Zell am See-Kaprun ski
area. Distance
