Personalize your trip by adding an optional excursion or activity to your itinerary. These options are not included in the land package price to give you freedom to make your own plans. Contact your tour host upon arrival in Costa Rica to book an organized event if you prefer for us to make the arrangements. We have special negotiated prices with the suppliers and will include transportation to and from the event.

Arenal Paraiso Canopy Tour
This adrenaline experience begins with a short walk to the first platform here our guide’s check all our gear with great detail.  The feeling of flying thru the trees is unmatchable, with 12 platforms, 350 meters cables and approximated heights of 85 meters make this place an adventure land by excellence. It is a perfect combination of nature including 2 waterfalls and adventure.

Serapiqui River Whitwater Rafting Tour
This 2 hour, 13 Km run on class II and III rapids on the scenic Sarapiquí River with following rapid sequence:
Bienvenidos ( Welcome) Class II
Hueco Gringo ( gringo drop) Class III
Confusion class III
Las Pilas ( the washing board) class III
Superman class III
Montaña rusa ( The roller coaster) class III
Ah..Caramba! ( Oh.. Lord ) class III
Fuerza Aerea (Air force ) Class III
Ola Monica (Monica's wave) Class III
Boats uses are 14 feet, 4-6 passengers depending on river conditions. Safety kayaks run in number related to number of boats on tour. Wear shorts or swim suit, tennis or rubber sole shoes, t-shirt. Sun-screen.

Combination Tour Canopy & Whitwater Rafting
Full day tour includes both Canopy and Whitewater Rafting adventures as described above. Lunch included .

Horseback Riding Tour
This tour allows visitors to explore the dry tropical forest while enjoying a horseback ride along with their guide. You will observe the mangroves of San Francisco while being surrounded by commonly seen animals such as howler monkeys, parrots and diverse aquatic birds. (Duration: Half day/ Meals Included: Lunch)

Surf Camp
Sign up for an all day surf camp at beautiful Tamarindo Beach.
Witches Rock Surf School created our lesson plan and even if you've never seen the ocean before, we will get you up and ride the waves. Lessons consists of in-water instruction, beginning/ intermediate tours, and friendly staff to help you along the way.
Cost per person: $65
Snorkeing Tour
Tamarindo tours offers you a 3 hrs excursion that will take you to different snorkeling locations. Enjoy and explore the abundance of our Pacific marine life, see angel fish, puffers, snappers, moray eels, different kind of turtles, rays and much more in places like, Rabbit cove, Carbon beach and Playa conchal.
Tours include high quality snorkel gear, supervision and refreshments. The boats are fully licensed and carry all safety and navigational equipment.

Fishing Trip

Tamarindo is the perfect base for Costa Rica’s world class sportfishing. With the continental shelf a mere 10 miles offshore, fish for blue water species, including blue, black and striped marlin, pacific sailfish, dorado, yellowfin tuna. The boats are fully equipped with top of the range tackle, state of the art electronics, a toilet and full safety equipment.Tamarindo truthfully boasts a 12 month fishing season, with certain months excelling for different fish. Marlin can be caught year round, but your best shot is mid January till April, when as many as 6 can be raised in a day. Likewise sailfish are ever present, although they are in bigger numbers from April till August. With days of Raising in excess of 50. Bottom fishing for snapper, shark etc. is confined to April- December which also coincides with the best months for dorado and yellowfin tuna.
