Marsovin Paola Cellars: A Journey Through Malta’s Oldest Wine Cellars

A local guide will greet guests and accompany them to the Marsovin Paola Cellars, established by the Knights of St. John in the 17th century as shipwright quarters, which Marsovin later remodeled into a wine cellar. The experience begins with an introduction to Marsovin’s rich history and its role in shaping the island’s winemaking tradition. Guests will then walk through the impressive 400-year-old cellars, gaining insight into the unique conditions that make them ideal for storing and aging wines.
The tour continues with a behind-the-scenes look at the production of Marsovin’s Quality Sparkling Wine, crafted using the prestigious Méthode Traditionnelle. Following this, guests will be guided through a tutored tasting of four exceptional Maltese wines, each accompanied by expert notes and recommendations. To complete the experience, a selection of local delicacies will be served, thoughtfully paired to enhance the flavors of the wines and provide a true taste of Malta’s culinary heritage.
