The Ultimate Eiffel Tower Photo Spot Guide
In today’s blog, we’ll go over the best viewpoints to see the Eiffel Tower, tips for when to go there, and how to take the best photos there.

If you have a trip planned to Paris, then we have no doubt you will want to know where the best Eiffel Tower photo locations are. There are many viewpoints for photographs around the Eiffel Tower, and they’re all beautiful and unique in their own ways. In today’s blog, we’ll go over the best viewpoints to see the Eiffel Tower, tips for when to go there, and how to take the best photos there. AESU has a few tours with stops in Paris this year, like our Euro Focus tour, our Great Escape tour, our Cosmopolitan tour, and our Explorer tour! Read on to learn more!

Rue De L’Universtie

This is probably one of the most famous spots to take the best photos with the Eiffel Tower in all of Paris. It’s for good reason, too; it is beautiful! This spot is right at the end of a picturesque Parisian street directly underneath the Eiffel Tower. All that being said, this spot is usually busy. We still recommend visiting, even if it’s still crowded. For the best photos with fewer tourists and softer light, try visiting early in the morning, just after the sun has risen.

Champ De Mars

Champ de Mars is the big grassy area right next to the Eiffel Tower. It is an excellent spot to picnic and soak in the views of the tower, especially in the late afternoon once the sun starts to set. For the best photos, visit around golden hour, usually one to two hours before the sun sets, when the lighting will be warm and soft, making the tower glow beautifully against the sky. Stick around into the evening since the Eiffel Tower lights up each hour on the hour after sunset, with a dazzling sparkle show that goes on for five minutes. This is the ideal time for a memorable Eiffel Tower picture!

Place Du Trocadero

You might recognize this spot from any viral Instagram proposal posts or red heart balloon photoshoots. It is quite popular, and there are a few different areas for photos, but the main one is essentially a large open platform with unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower. Since the tower is far away, we highly recommend using a zoom lens to get the effect of the Eiffel Tower behind you. This is a great spot for sunset or sunrise!
